Art wasn't my favorite class when I was in elementary school. I hated that I had to do the same thing as everyone else. I wanted to be different.
Then, when I was in eight grade, we did a unit on drawing people. I remember looking up at the end of the class and everyone was staring at my drawing. My teacher just looked at me and said "well I think we've found your niche."
I started drawing people. I couldn't afford to go to art classes but fortunately my grandfather is a known artist featured in several art galleries in the United States so he helped me by critiquing my work.
I became interested in digital artwork through my fascination of animation and the Disney Company in particular. I took out all of the "Art of" books from the library and was fascinated by the concept art.
